Hockey Set for Outdoor Game at Beaver Stadium
Men's & Women's Hockey to play on 1/31/26 at Famed Stadium
Penn State announced Friday morning a pair of outdoor hockey games at West Shore Home Field at Beaver Stadium. The doubleheader will feature men's hockey with Penn State taking on Michigan State and women's hockey with Penn State hosting Robert Morris on Saturday, January 31, 2026. It marks the first time a hockey game will be played at Beaver Stadium.
For years, fans have clamored for the college football cathedral to host either the NHL’s Winter Classic or Stadium Series games. However, until recent renovations, the winterization of the stadium prevented such events outside of football season.
The men's matchup features two teams expected to be among the top in college hockey this season and programs that could potentially hold the top two spots in national preseason polls.
