Women's Hockey Monday Media Notebook: Robert Morris, Outdoor Game

Penn State women’s hockey head coach Jeff Kampersal addressed the media on Monday afternoon ahead of the outdoor game at Beaver Stadium and Robert Morris home series this weekend. Forwards Leah Stecker, Kendall Butze and Katelyn Roberts also fielded questions from reporters.

1. Outdoor Game Conditions

Kampersal lauded the work of athletic director Pat Kraft and the Beaver Stadium grounds crew in putting the promotion together, saying that they are “doing their best effort to get this [game] ready.”

For Kampersal, the inconsistency of the ice outdoors compared to that of Pegula Ice Arena is not as much of a concern as the sun will be.

Kampersal said that he was thinking of talking to Kraft about figuring out “which way the sun shines [and] if it is going to shine.”
