Penn State finishes out a strong weekend with a 51-0 shutout against Northwestern
Wrestling's dominance continues on the road
The Penn State wrestling team finished a big weekend against Iowa and Northwestern, which finished in a 51-0 shutout on Sunday in Evanston.
The Nittany Lions continue to make history every week and with every dual, Penn State wrestling continues to widen the gap between other programs.
Here are some key takeaways from the match between Penn State and Northwestern:
1. Nothing But Bonus Points
Every match against Northwestern ended in a bonus point victory for the Nittany Lions. Penn State ended the dual with five tech falls, two falls, two major decisions and one forfeit.
Penn State has now scored 32 or more points in every dual so far this season and if they continue to score this many points per dual, the Nittany Lions will make history by scoring more than 30 points in every dual for the first time in program history.
