Franklin Discusses White Out and Oregon Prep
News and notes from James Franklin's media availability
Penn State football head coach James Franklin addressed the media on Wednesday evening ahead of the White Out game against Oregon. Most notably, Franklin provided analysis on the preparation for a full game and a hot start.
1. Getting Ready To Play A Full Game
Games like this one seem to have one or two plays that will be the deciding factor. Franklin expects it to be a “four-quarter battle that’s going to come down to the end of the game.” He likes how his team has prepared for moments such as these as he looks to get over the hump from national media pressure. Franklin notes that teams will throw creative plays out into those games to try and make his team second-guess itself and then will go back to their normal play style. Being prepped to the full range of an opponent’s plays is key to winning the 60-minute marathon.
